The EKX 513-515 line of man-up, three-wheel turret trucks offers an integrated laser scanner-based personnel protection system that detects obstacles in the vehicle’s path, either in front or behind. When an obstacle enters the protection field, the PSS sounds an alarm, slows the truck down and stops it. In addition, an RFID transponder continuously acquires aisle data and travel parameters, using the data to coordinate with the PSS to control the activation and deactivation of the laser scanners.
