Tool sets
New tool sets were developed to meet the Country of Origin requirements of the Trade Agreements Act.
There are 86 new Master Tool Sets developed to meet the Country of Origin (COO) requirements for the Trade Agreements Act (TAA), and are identified by the addition of GSA to the SKU number. Many sets were already compliant but the addition of these new sets means that the company now has a TAA-compliant version of every Master set in its line.
The General Services Administration (GSA) includes TAA compliance in its periodic audits, and has levied stiff fines on companies caught selling non-compliant products. Making sure that a product meets all the TAA requirements can be a complicated task and requires regular review and documentation of where materials were sourced, where each and every component was manufactured, and what countries are currently on the TAA list. In-house systems have been developed to track all of this information, and to ensure that TAA compliant sets meet all of these requirements.
