Ben Cole has been named Director of TLC Engineering for Architecture in Dallas. A firm principal whose most recent role was senior mechanical project engineer at the Jacksonville office, Ben has been with TLC for more than 15 years. He is experienced in all aspects of mechanical engineering and project management.
As a Healthcare Facility Design Professional accredited by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), he is extremely knowledgeable about the specialized design requirements of healthcare facilities and the needs of hospital staff and medical professionals. His portfolio includes new hospitals and major additions/renovations for healthcare systems throughout the country, as well as VA clinics and assisted living facilities. He is also experienced in the design of higher education, K-12, and commercial office buildings. A U.S. Green Building Council LEED-Accredited Professional, Ben has provided sustainable design services for numerous projects.

2012 Salary Survey
In a year when manufacturing continued to lead the economic rebound, it makes sense that plant manager bonuses rebounded. Plant Engineering’s annual Salary Survey shows both wages and bonuses rose in 2012 after a retreat the year before.
Average salary across all job titles for plant floor management rose 3.5% to $95,446, and bonus compensation jumped to $15,162, a 4.2% increase from the 2010 level and double the 2011 total, which showed a sharp drop in bonus.
