A 2-yr-old company, WebCal Corp. (www.webcal.com), has developed their version of what could be the next big application to rule the Web. This application is a free, web-based personal calendar that you can access from any computer platform capable of running standard web browsers. Here’s a short list of some of its more important features: schedule and access all of your personal appointments, to do’s, calls, and memos; secure password access; and direct access and linking to EventCal, the world’s largest events database. You’ll definitely want to use the customize option to smooth out the rather busy user interface, but considering the implications of this application, it’s small and the only price to pay.
