The MDS series of detect switches, designed for use in Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture applications, can be implemented on server blades as a safety mechanism to ensure the blades are powered down. The series includes a micro snap-acting detect switch, which is available in vertical and right angle PCD mounts with 2.9-millimeter travel. Other switch models feature a side-actuated detect switch with a 2-millimeter profile and 2-millimeter overtravel; a micro mini-pendulum detect switch with top- or side-actuation and a 3.3-millimeter profile; and a micro mini-detect switch with top- or side-actuation and a 3.35-millimeter profile.
