Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc. announced this week the appointment of Jeff Timms as vice president, Electronics Assembly Systems Division. Timms has been acting vice president since earlier this year.
Timms previously had a four-year assignment as the division’s vice president of marketing and sales. In this position, he was responsible for all aspects of positioning, pricing, distribution and sales of EA products and services throughout the Americas.
“Jeff is a results-driven leader with more than 23 years of business experience,” said Aubert Martin, president and CEO, Siemens Energy and Automaton. “His in-depth knowledge of the printed circuit board and surface mount technology business will enable him to lead the division forward with a strong focus on our customers, operational excellence, and market leadership.”
Prior to joining Siemens, Timms had a 13-year career with Universal Instruments, a subsidiary of the Dover Corporation, which serves the global electronic assembly and manufacturing market. During his career with Siemens, he has held several management positions of increasing responsibility, including vice president of services and sales, and general manager of the Electronics Assembly Business Unit.
