The PCM-3240 is a PC/104 four-axis stepping/pulse-type servo motor control card that simplifies stepping and pulse-type servo motor control, providing added motor performance. It has been modified to fit into a standard PC/104 board, eliminating the chance of mechanical interference in the embedded controller. The card’s intelligent NOVA MCX341-motion ASIC provides a variety of motion control functions, such as 2/3-axis linear interpolation, two-axis circular interpolation and T/S-curve acceleration/deceleration rate. The control performs these functions without requiring any main CPU processing. Other features include: a hand wheel and jog junction, a 4-MPPS pulse output for each axis, a CW/CCW or pulse/direction pulse type, a 1-MHz encoder input for each axis, an A/B phase or up/down encoder pulse, a constant speed control and position management and software limit switch functions.
