Schneider Electric Relays recently announced the Relay Competency Center (RCC), a centralized, coordinated team of experts who offer customer assistance, application development and relay design for Square D brand and Telemecanique brand plug-in relays.Designed to assist customers with choosing and managing their relay requirements, the RCC coordinates efforts with Schneider Electric sales representatives to ensure that customer requests are quickly and expertly addressed. The center’s primary focus is on ensuring proper product selection, especially in the early stages of design. A team of product application specialists support Schneider Electric sales representatives at customer sites to address specifications and technical concerns.“The creation of the Relay Competency Center is a win-win situation for customers, distributors and Schneider Electric,” said Matt O’Kane, business director and general manager for the RCC. “Ultimately, we want to help customers create the most cost-effective and reliable control systems possible.”The RCC Web site ( www.SErelays.com ) can facilitate product identification and includes an automated product navigator to narrow product selection and display associated accessories. Users also can download 2-D drawings and 3-D models directly into 18 different CAD software platforms. Cross-reference searches are also available online to help customers find the proper replacement products for relays in existing panels.
