SAS Institute announced a marketing agreement with CimWorks, a GE Fanuc company, that blends plant floor control and data acquisition from GE Fanuc with data quality, analysis, and reporting from SAS. The companies will provide a packaged analysis-ready data model and warehouse load process.

The SAS/CimWorks solution will consist of the GE Fanuc CimWorks Visual SPC product line on the shop floor coupled with an SAS web-based quality reporting system, according to Jim Davis, SAS vice president.
