Scalance M rugged industrial routers series operate in areas restricted from wireless communication like water treatment plants and medical applications. The Scalance M812-1 and Scalance M816-1 routers give remote access to automation networks and components over public DSL. They have transmission rates of up to 25 Mbit/s from network to end device and 3.5 Mbit/s from device to network. The Scalance M826-2 router communicates over private lines. It ensures fast transmission rates of up to 15.3 Mbit/s with two-wire cables that can be increased with four or more wires. All three routers have integrated firewalls and VPN functionality for high levels of security.
