RJA, Sako consolidate
Sako & Associates and Rolf Jensen & Associates consolidate global operations.
Effective immediately, Sako & Associates Inc. has been consolidated into the global operations of Rolf Jensen & Associates Inc. (RJA). Both are subsidiaries of The RJA Group Inc., a specialist in fire protection engineering and security consulting. Going forward, Sako’s security and emergency management services will be marketed to a variety of client types under the RJA brand.
Sako & Associates, founded in 1974, was acquired by The RJA Group in 2001. They have been involved in leading edge security and emergency management projects including the Navistar headquarters complex (Lisle, IL), the Denver VA Medical Center (Denver), the Kingdom Tower (Jeddah), Blue Cross Blue Shield facilities nationwide and American embassies throughout the world, to name a few of their thousands of projects.
The new RJA security group will continue to be based in Chicago.

2012 Salary Survey
In a year when manufacturing continued to lead the economic rebound, it makes sense that plant manager bonuses rebounded. Plant Engineering’s annual Salary Survey shows both wages and bonuses rose in 2012 after a retreat the year before.
Average salary across all job titles for plant floor management rose 3.5% to $95,446, and bonus compensation jumped to $15,162, a 4.2% increase from the 2010 level and double the 2011 total, which showed a sharp drop in bonus.
