Retrofill circuit breaker for smaller spaces
The 26-inch Wide Retrofill circuit breaker provides a cost-effective solution to address switchgear applications with space restrictions.
The 26-inch wide retrofill circuit breaker for 5 kV vacuum provides a cost-effective solution to address switchgear applications with space restrictions. The unit can be applied in any 5 kV application, up to 2000 amps/350 mega volt amps (MVA), without the need to replace or change the switchgear lineup. Fully tested to IEEE C37.59, the 26-inch Wide Retrofill Solution works with Schneider Electric's standard VR remote racking system for added safety in switchgear operation. While there is no need for a mechanical-operated cell switch, the solution does include a truck operated cell switch, which is wired through a secondary contact and requires less maintenance. The unit is available with six current transformers (CTs) mounted in the breaker compartment and an optional breaker cart.

Annual Salary Survey
Before the calendar turned, 2016 already had the makings of a pivotal year for manufacturing, and for the world.
There were the big events for the year, including the United States as Partner Country at Hannover Messe in April and the 2016 International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago in September. There's also the matter of the U.S. presidential elections in November, which promise to shape policy in manufacturing for years to come.
But the year started with global economic turmoil, as a slowdown in Chinese manufacturing triggered a worldwide stock hiccup that sent values plummeting. The continued plunge in world oil prices has resulted in a slowdown in exploration and, by extension, the manufacture of exploration equipment.
