The Vibscanner lightweight data collector features built-in sensors for 10 important machine parameters, including vibration acceleration and displacement and velocity according to ISO standards. Bin tilters save backs

Bin tilters for ergonomic work positioning come in 2000-lb and 4000-lb capacities with 87-deg of tilt. Two portable models handle bins, two portable straddle models handle pallets, and two stationary models handle containers. Portable models are equipped with 12 Vdc power units with a built-in charger. Stationary models operate from 120 Vac.

Duct tape handles HVAC applications

Scapa 146 is a laminated polyethylene cloth duct tape single coated with a high-tack, natural rubber adhesive that is designed to bond well to metal ductwork and other materials for demanding HVAC and industrial bonding applications. It provides good adhesion over a wide range of temperatures. It will not twist or curl during application and is easily torn by hand.

iSeries temperature/process controllers connect directly to an Ethernet network with a standard RJ-45 connector and can send and receive data in standard TCP/IP packets. Annual Salary Survey

Before the calendar turned, 2016 already had the makings of a pivotal year for manufacturing, and for the world.

There were the big events for the year, including the United States as Partner Country at Hannover Messe in April and the 2016 International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago in September. There's also the matter of the U.S. presidential elections in November, which promise to shape policy in manufacturing for years to come.

But the year started with global economic turmoil, as a slowdown in Chinese manufacturing triggered a worldwide stock hiccup that sent values plummeting. The continued plunge in world oil prices has resulted in a slowdown in exploration and, by extension, the manufacture of exploration equipment.
