The 518 Series high power, single pole connectors feature a 360-deg, non-specific, locking collar design that allows the connector pairs to be mated and locked in any orientation. Once engaged, a ring provides the connectors with a positive locking force up to 300 lb while allowing free rotation, even with rigid cables. The connector is designed for currents from 50-1000 amps and voltages up to 5 skV.

Before the calendar turned, 2016 already had the makings of a pivotal year for manufacturing, and for the world.

But the year started with global economic turmoil, as a slowdown in Chinese manufacturing triggered a worldwide stock hiccup that sent values plummeting. The continued plunge in world oil prices has resulted in a slowdown in exploration and, by extension, the manufacture of exploration equipment.
