Cummins Power Generation’s C3000 Series generator set offers up to 3.5 MW. The C3000 Series incorporates the Cummins QSK95 engine to set a new industry standard as the most powerful high-speed diesel genset. For multiple-set applications, the high-output of the C3000 Series will increase power installation efficiency and higher economies of scale. The high power output of the C3000 Series genset is also able to meet stringent EPA Tier 4 Final emissions taking effect in 2015. Cummins Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) after treatment system is intended to replace the exhaust muffler on the genset, offering a proven and highly flexible packaging solution. Annual Salary Survey
After almost a decade of uncertainty, the confidence of plant floor managers is soaring. Even with a number of challenges and while implementing new technologies, there is a renewed sense of optimism among plant managers about their business and their future.
The respondents to the 2014 Plant Engineering Salary Survey come from throughout the U.S. and serve a variety of industries, but they are uniform in their optimism about manufacturing. This year’s survey found 79% consider manufacturing a secure career. That’s up from 75% in 2013 and significantly higher than the 63% figure when Plant Engineering first started asking that question a decade ago.
