Isometric software works on a palmtop PC

I-Sketch Field is the first piping isometric software available on a palmtop PC. It is used by engineers to perform design alterations and capture as-built piping information on-site. The software allows verification of existing pipe configurations and the creation of new isometric drawings for tie-ins. Synchronization between the software used in the field and the companion PC-resident software enables information and adaptations made on the palmtop PC during the site visit to be transported into the PC-based program.

Tuning software optimizes different PID parameters

ExperTune PID loop analyzer and tuner-advanced software allows the user to analyze and tune proportional/integral/derivative (PID) loops in industrial controllers. A setpoint filter combined with optimal tuning results in stable operation regardless of whether controllers are used in startup, switchover, or steady state operation. The setpoint filter is active only during setpoint changes, providing a smooth response to process upsets. Setpoint filter effects can be viewed offline before applying them to the process. Loop optimization reports are available, including analysis graphs, performance indices, loop diagnosis, and the actual setpoint filter.
