The editors of Circulation Management magazine presented PLANT ENGINEERING magazine with its Gold Award for business-to-business magazine circulation excellence. Publisher Jim Langhenry received the Gold Award plaque at the annual Product of the Year awards event as part of National Manufacturing week.

The award judges praised the magazine for what it called “a dramatic improvement in the quality of its subscriber base in time for the June 2003 BPA statement.” By creating a circulation base of 100,000 subscribers who were one-year qualified, and who were all product buyers and specifiers for plants of more than 100 employees, PLANT ENGINEERING achieved a unique circulation message.

“The results were astounding,” the judges said, noting PLANT ENGINEERING “delivered 100,000 qualified one-year subscribers who were product buyer specifiers, and in the process, nearly doubled the number of Internet source subscribers through consistent and creative use of email campaigns.”
