Reaching out to new readers in new markets, and reaching out to current readers in new ways, Plant Engineering will help change the fundamental ways manufacturing professionals communicate with each other around the world.

Plant Engineering has entered into a partnership with Hannover Messe , the world’s leading trade show exhibition company in the manufacturing sector, to produce a quarterly e-book magazine. Called Global Plant Engineering, the magazine will be distributed to Hannover Messe’s global trade show attendees and will deliver Plant Engineering’s content to a worldwide audience. The first issue will be distributed in mid-November, just before Hannover Messe’s India show in Bangalore, Dec. 10-13, 2008.

That show will include CeMAT India (logistics), MDA INDIA (hydraulics and pneumatics), Industrial Automation INDIA and Energy INDIA. These four events will be staged side-by-side at the Bangalore International Expo Centre where more than 500 exhibitors will be on hand to do business and talk shop with over 20,000 solution-seeking industry professionals.

“We share Hannover Messe’s enthusiasm for the manufacturing sector, and we are pleased to have them as a partner in this effort,” said Plant Engineering editor Bob Vavra . “Plant Engineering has found a solid footing with some manufacturing professionals around the world through our Website. They trust us to provide sound technical information as well as industry news. Now we’ll be able to reach those professionals directly with the kind of knowledge they need to help grow manufacturing on a global basis. And because it’s an e-book, we can do so in an environmentally responsible, sustainable manner.”

“Joining forces with Plant Engineering gives us a splendid opportunity to share the most exciting developments, topics and trends with our trade fair clientele, which comprises top industry buyers, sellers, decision-makers and users,” said Dr. Wolfram von Fritsch, chairman of the board of management of Deutsche Messe.

Every spring, the parent Hannover Messe takes place in Hannover, Germany, putting a highly international audience in touch with the very latest in industrial innovations, trends and topics. The next global event will be April 20-24, 2009.
