Pickard named Fluke Industrial president

Carl Pickard has been named President of the Industrial Division of Fluke Corporation, the world's leading supplier of handheld test and measurement equipment. Pickard will be responsible for Fluke's industrial businesses including digital multimeters, process tools, accessories, temperature, thermography, indoor air diagnostics and associated brands.

Carl Pickard has been named President of the Industrial Division of Fluke Corporation, the world’s leading supplier of handheld test and measurement equipment. Pickard will be responsible for Fluke’s industrial businesses including digital multimeters, process tools, accessories, temperature, thermography, indoor air diagnostics and associated brands.

Pickard has been with Fluke, serving as the president of the Raytek Division, for the past three years. Prior to that he served as Group Vice President of Marketing, Product Development and Business Development for the Danaher Tool Group, a sister company to Fluke owned by its parent corporation, Danaher.

“Fluke has seen dramatic growth in the past five years, with the addition of thermography and temperature products, an expanded presence in the power quality market and share gains in our core businesses,” noted Fluke Corporation President Jim Lico. “To continue our record of success we need someone with a strong understanding of brand management to expand our reach into adjacent markets. Carl has that background and a proven track record of success with such well-known brands as Pepsi, Wilson Sporting Goods and Black & Decker.”

Under Pickard’s leadership, Raytek has experienced double digit growth the past three years noted Lico, and successfully launched a new thermography product line in 2004. In his new role at Fluke, Pickard will have responsibility for product planning, brand management, marketing and marketing communications, including matrixed responsibility for marketing resources outside the U.S.
