Available as a standard feature on Goulds’ popular model 3196 pump, the patent-pending unit’s design incorporates many other standard features designed to increase reliability and life of the pump. Premium severe-duty thrust bearings are designed to increase fatigue life by two to five times that of standard bearings. Dual stainless-steel, bronze bearing isolators improve corrosion resistance and contaminant exclusion, and an optimized sump design improves heat transfer and collects and concentrates contaminants away from bearings.
