The QTU-200MY Turning Center is a multi-tasking machine that is designed for part processing. The headstock incorporates a built-in spindle/motor design, and is a full-function CNC programmable axis that accurately positions parts for complex machining and 3D contouring. The turning center has a 12-position, integral-motor turret that uses a roller gear cam drive system for digital indexing. The main turning spindle is designed for heavy-duty metal removal, and the turret’s rotary tool spindle is designed to perform milling, drilling and tapping operations. The QTU-200MY uses high-gain servo-control turret/feed-axis motion. The double-slide configuration delivers high-speed, precise positioning and smooth axis acceleration/deceleration. The machine also features a NC servo-driven tailstock that is fully programmable and utilizes its own AC servomotor and ball screw allowing the tailstock to drill holes on shaft centerlines. Thrust settings are adjustable according to workpiece material and shape. The MAZATROL SmoothC CNC offers EIA/ISO programming, as well as, conversational programming for angled drilling, milling, or tapping operations.
