The UL 508-listed MD50 motor disconnect switch provides power connections in industrial facilities and prevents process interruption by cutting power to a motor, while not affecting the main circuit. The IEC 60309-compliant technology increases plant floor safety by making it impossible to plug in a power receptacle that has different voltage and ampere ratings and a mechanical interlock forces a user to insert a plug before power is switched on and off. The switch’s intended uses include food processing, packaging, automotive assembly, material handling, textiles, mining and pulp/paper manufacturing.
