Moog receives Supplier of the Year Award from Northrop Grumman
Moog has been recognized by Northrop Grumman Corporation's Integrated Systems sector, Equipment Strategic Sourcing Team, as a 2005 Supplier of the Year for consistent performance on the F/A-18E/F and B-2 programs in the areas of quality and delivery. Moog was one of eight companies to receive a Supplier of the Year designation.
"We're honored to be part of the team that's helping protect and ensure mission success for the U.S. men and women who serve in our armed forces," said Bob Brady, chairman and CEO of Moog.
Northrop Grumman developed its Supplier of the Year Award program to recognize the critical role that its suppliers play in the delivery of high- performance products that the company produces for U.S. and international customers. The program is an outgrowth of the company's strategic sourcing initiative, an effort started in summer 2003 to build stronger long-term relationships between the company and its suppliers. Under this initiative, every supplier is graded quarterly on parameters such as quality, on-time delivery and participation in affordability initiatives.

But the year started with global economic turmoil, as a slowdown in Chinese manufacturing triggered a worldwide stock hiccup that sent values plummeting. The continued plunge in world oil prices has resulted in a slowdown in exploration and, by extension, the manufacture of exploration equipment.
