Moisture Barrier Paper

Cortec presents patented EcoShield Paper and Linerboard's new product is coated with a water based barrier that is recyclable and repulpable.

EcoShield Paper can readily be recycled into other types of paper products such as boxes, cardboard and other corrugated materials as well as“repulped”: made into or mixed with pulp to make new paper products. This environmentally safe product also shows oil and grease resistance, combining moisture barrier properties and oil and grease resistivity. EcoShield is in compliance with FDA regulations under 21 code of Federal Regulations for food contact. EcoShield Paper also displays a reduced Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate (MVTR). The product was tested according to the Fibre Box Assn. Voluntary Standard for Repulpability and tested according to ASTM E-96, 23°C, 50% RH, Example test ranges for: EcoShield Barrier Paper, a comparable polyethylene coated paper (40# 3msf paper, 6# PE coating) and commerical waxed paper.
