According to a UPS reliability assessment conducted by Mtechnology Inc., Active Power’s CleanSource 750HD UPS reduced risk of system failure by 21% versus a double-conversion UPS with a single string of batteries in utility outages lasting longer than 10 seconds. With a dynamic electromechanical system, any changes are detected and repairable prior to an outage occurring. CleanSource 750HD has a power dense at the 750 kVA range and provides up to 30% lower operating expenses over a 5-year period versus an legacy UPS. The addition of the Extended Runtime reduced the risk of failure by more than 23% versus a double-conversion UPS with batteries. During short outages, the system reduced the risk of failure by 85%.
