Flexible waveguides operating 40 GHz over nine bands help fix common alignment issues in waveguide systems. These flexible waveguides, also known as "flexguides", are most commonly deployed as a pliable signal conduit in misaligned waveguide systems where traditional rigid waveguide sections are no longer possible to use. Fairview’s flexible (and twistable) waveguide family consists of 36 models ranging in size from WR-137 as low as 5.85 GHz to WR-28 up to 40 GHz. Typical VSWR for these flexible waveguides ranges from 1.05:1 up to 1.35:1 depending on waveguide size and frequency and insertion loss performance is as low as 0.07 dB. These waveguide sections can flex in both the E and H planes and will also twist, making them a great solution in many different types of applications.
