ISA hosts live Web seminar

By Plant Engineering Staff July 7, 2006

Regardless of the basic process control systems being used or the fuel being burned, when working with balance draft boilers, five basic functions must be controlled: furnace draft, drum level, feed water, fuel air and steam temperature. Jerry Gilman, P.E., a retiree of Proctor & Gamble after 37 years, will present “Boiler Control Fundamentals,” a live Web seminar that teaches participants what must be controlled and how the control systems operate. The seminar will be presented Thursday, July 13, at 2 p.m. ET, via www.isa.org . Site registration is $195 for ISA members, $225 for nonmembers, allowing unlimited participants per site. Log onto the Website or call 919/549-8411 for more details or to register for the program.
