The LNX series of industrial Ethernet switches and IMC media converters are an ideal addition to Ethernet I/O products. The units support -40 to 75 C operation and include a rugged IP30 aluminum enclosure that resists shock, vibration, and free-fall impacts. The LNX-800AG Ethernet switch provides eight 10/100/100 Tx Rj45 ports with dual power input with reverse power protection. The LNX-800A is a 8-port switch for 10/100 BaseTx network connections. For fiber optic connections, the LNX-0702G Ethernet switch provides two dual-rate 100/1000 Fx SFP slots and five copper 10/100/1000 Tx ports. The LNX-802AG provides two single or multi-mode fiber Ethernet ports and six 10/100/1000 Tx ports. The IMC-100A fiber media converter connects between 10/100 Base-Tx and 100 Base-Fx cabling to extend the network distance and add flexibility.

Before the calendar turned, 2016 already had the makings of a pivotal year for manufacturing, and for the world.
There were the big events for the year, including the United States as Partner Country at Hannover Messe in April and the 2016 International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago in September. There's also the matter of the U.S. presidential elections in November, which promise to shape policy in manufacturing for years to come.
But the year started with global economic turmoil, as a slowdown in Chinese manufacturing triggered a worldwide stock hiccup that sent values plummeting. The continued plunge in world oil prices has resulted in a slowdown in exploration and, by extension, the manufacture of exploration equipment.
