Inductive sensors for extreme environments
Steute Xtreme's ATEX- IECEx Certified Inductive Sensors are designed for use in Zone 0 and 20 explosive atmospheres and extreme environments and are built with a stainless steel enclosure.
Steute Xtreme's line of ATEX- IECEx Certified Inductive Sensors are designed for use in Zone 0 and 20 explosive atmospheres and extreme environments. The units are available in M8, M12, M18 and M30 sizes with a cable or plug-in connector. Models are also available with IP68K or IP69K ratings and for temperature of -40° to +120°C. They are built with a stainless steel enclosure for enhanced protection and have flush mounting.
The inductive sensors are designed for industries like construction, conveyors, food and chemical processing, valve position monitoring, material handling, and the oil & gas industries.

Annual Salary Survey
After almost a decade of uncertainty, the confidence of plant floor managers is soaring. Even with a number of challenges and while implementing new technologies, there is a renewed sense of optimism among plant managers about their business and their future.
The respondents to the 2014 Plant Engineering Salary Survey come from throughout the U.S. and serve a variety of industries, but they are uniform in their optimism about manufacturing. This year’s survey found 79% consider manufacturing a secure career. That’s up from 75% in 2013 and significantly higher than the 63% figure when Plant Engineering first started asking that question a decade ago.
