Hyundai to expand operations in Alabama
After sales slump, production to jump with new Sonata design
The Birmingham Business Journal reports that Hyundai’s plant will be making more Sonata sedans next year, as the South Korean company
Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama spokesman Robert Burns said the plant will begin making the new Sonata model in January that should be ready for sales lots by the end of the first quarter.

Hyundai Motor produced 237,000 units at the factory in the first 11 months of this year and expects to build about 250,000 by the end of year, the company said.
