ALTO high-pressure sodium (HPS) lamps with Prompter end-of-life indicators and lead-free bases provide the benefits of lead source reduction, increased disposal options, and reduced maintenance costs. When lamp needs replacement, the indicator changes to bluish white, while the lamp functions at about 30% of initial output. Lamps also protect against ignitor and ballast failure caused by lamp outages in energized luminaires.
