Group launches award for smart manufacturing examples

Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association (MESA) International seeks examples about making manufacturing smarter, highlighted in its Smart Story Awards.

By MESA International June 2, 2016

Manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and system integrators are likely implementing many more examples of smart manufacturing than has become public knowledge. Sharing that information will help with future implementations, by building on existing knowledge, suggests Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association (MESA) International.

MESA’s Smart Story Awards is designed to highlight stories about people and information technologies (IT) working to make manufacturing smarter. Stories can be entered in the form of videos, case studies, white papers, articles, or other types of non-commercial media. Stories can be about any topic that touches on manufacturing value chains, such as product lifecycle management (PLM), sustainability, analytics, enterprise resource planning (ERP), smart manufacturing, cybersecurity, and other topics related to manufacturing. Each entry will be posted on a public summary page in MESA’s Resource Library, an online library that holds over 1,000 pieces of educational content available for download.

Three MESA winning entries will be determined by the most downloads over a 3-month period. Winners will then be interviewed in a future MESA webcast. Deadline to submit is June 20, 2016.
