FieldMate is a PC-based universal device configuration software application. It allows users to configure HART, Foundation Fieldbus and PROFIBUS devices from a single communicator and is capable of several tasks, including initial setup, daily maintenance, troubleshooting and configuration backup for device replacement, along with the open FDT/DTM standard. The software is also compliant with DTMs per the FDT 1.2 standard. A device viewer displays extended device status that includes warning messages or errors.
