A wide range of fan product lines ideal for serving industrial boilers, gas turbine installations, and heat-recovery steam generators in combined cycle installations. The direct-drive fans include industry-standard AF line of cast aluminum medium pressure blowers, nine types of backwardly inclined fans, as well as turbo pressure blowers and industrial exhausters. Howden builds fans with housing percentage widths at 5% increments from 60-100%. Changing the fan construction so it can handle lower volumes without slowing fan speed eliminates any need for use of a belt drive, which can reduce maintenance costs.
