The FENA-01 Ethernet adapter is designed for the company’s ACS350 drive line and supports both EtherNet/IP and Modbus/TCP protocols. The flexible plug-in adapter provides fast and simple connectivity to all major controllers used for conveyors, compressors, door openers, industrial fans and pumps, mixers, ovens, palletizing, stretch wrapping, tension control and volumetric feeder control. The adapter will benefit end users, OEMs and system integrators focused on the food & beverage, material handling, printing, rubber & plastics and textile industries.

Modbus/TCP is a variant of the Modbus family of simple, vendor-neutral communication protocols intended for supervision and control of automation equipment. Specifically, it covers the use of Modbus messaging over TCP connection on an IP network.

The EtherNet/IP protocol is managed by the Open DeviceNet Vendor Association (ODVA), and is a variant of the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) family of communication protocols intended for supervision and control of automation equipment.
