InduSoft Web Studio v7.0 — InduSoft Web Studio v7.0 is a truly unique development and runtime software that incorporates all the tools users need to create SCADA HMI applications, dashboards and OEE interfaces. InduSoft Web Studio (IWS) provides access to data from anywhere, including PCs, embedded devices, mobile devices, and remote web browsers. InduSoft Web Studio includes over 240 drivers for all major PLCs. IWS offers new OPC UA communication as well as OPC Classic (DA and HDA). New security features integrate with Microsoft Active Directory, to ease deployment. Easily connect to any SQL database, and new configuration interfaces for FTP and SMTP allow you to quickly send alarms and reports to e-mail, smartphones, or a printer.    -Easy to use: IWS was always easy to use and now it's even easier. Annual Salary Survey

Before the calendar turned, 2016 already had the makings of a pivotal year for manufacturing, and for the world.

There were the big events for the year, including the United States as Partner Country at Hannover Messe in April and the 2016 International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago in September. There's also the matter of the U.S. presidential elections in November, which promise to shape policy in manufacturing for years to come.

But the year started with global economic turmoil, as a slowdown in Chinese manufacturing triggered a worldwide stock hiccup that sent values plummeting. The continued plunge in world oil prices has resulted in a slowdown in exploration and, by extension, the manufacture of exploration equipment.
