Gene Finner, applied engineering technical service specialist for Dow Corning Molykote lubricants, will discuss how to help eliminate mechanism seizures and slow trip times at Finepoint’s 14th Annual Circuit Breaker Test & Maintenance Training Conference, Oct. 1-5, at the Omni William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh.
Finner will present information on physical properties of two to four commonly used greases in the power utility industry, and why one may work better than another in a given environment.
The conference will include a day at the ABB facilities in Mt. Pleasant, PA, and Greensburg, PA, and the PA Breaker and PA Transformer Technology facilities in Canonsburg, PA; more than a dozen substation/switchgear test and maintenance presentations, an SF6 gas handling and management seminar, a circuit breaker timing and analysis seminar, demonstrations of advanced testing procedures and 80 supplier exhibits.
