Data acquisition module uses tri-sectional galvanic isolation
Data Translation's DT9844 data acquisition module offers 20-bit resolution and uses tri-sectional galvanic isolation of ±500 V to preserve signal integrity.
Data Translation's DT9844 data acquisition module offers 20-bit resolution and accuracy at 1 MHz throughput. The DT9844 has been specially created to minimize noise and crosstalk between channels, despite the high bandwidth needed to achieve this speed/accuracy benchmark. Additionally, the design employs tri-sectional galvanic isolation of ±500 V between the analog portion, the digital section, and the USB connection. This isolation further prevents digital interference with precise analog signals to preserve signal integrity.
This high speed DAQ module provides 32SE or 16DI analog input channels, 32 DIO, and 5 counter/timers that can be synchronously acquired with the analog input data. Full software support is provided and with the free QuickDAQ application users can be up and running quickly.

After almost a decade of uncertainty, the confidence of plant floor managers is soaring. Even with a number of challenges and while implementing new technologies, there is a renewed sense of optimism among plant managers about their business and their future.
The respondents to the 2014 Plant Engineering Salary Survey come from throughout the U.S. and serve a variety of industries, but they are uniform in their optimism about manufacturing. This year’s survey found 79% consider manufacturing a secure career. That’s up from 75% in 2013 and significantly higher than the 63% figure when Plant Engineering first started asking that question a decade ago.
