Control Engineering re-establishes editorial advisory board

Automation engineering industry experts advance Control Engineering’s continuous improvement and help engineering subscribers do their jobs better.

By CFE Media July 8, 2016

Control Engineering announces that it has re-established an editorial advisory board to provide input to editorial staff on editorial content, relevancy, automation market, and audience, and to serve as a first-level sounding board for new initiatives and ideas. Editorial advisory board members will also be invited to participate in events and contribute editorially, said Mark T. Hoske, Control Engineering content manager since 1994.

"We’re making the board public with four members and intend to add individuals over the coming year. Initial representatives are leaders in the system integrator community, often the creative engineering glue behind many automation projects," Hoske said. "Another CFE Media publication, Consulting-Specifying Engineer, uses an editorial board with much success, and we’re adapting the concept to help our subscribers’ needs."

Control Engineering editorial advisory board members announced July 8 are:

  • David Bishop, president and a founder, Matrix Technologies
  • Joe Martin, president and founder, Martin Control Systems
  • Rick Pierro, president and co-founder, Superior Controls
  • Mark Voigtmann, partner, Faegre Baker Daniels, automation practice lead, general counsel for Control System Integrators Association (CSIA), and contributor to the Control Engineering "Legalities" column.

"It’s been more than 25 years since Control Engineering has had an editorial board," Hoske said. "We look forward to working with these experts." Each is invited to serve a two- to three-year term. With this article online, learn more about the four advisors. www.controleng.com/eab.
