Control Engineering Chinese edition announced in Shanghai
Control Engineering China is relaunching in cooperation with Control Engineering. On Nov. 9, 2010, the official ceremony announcing the Control Engineering Chinese edition was held in Shanghai, China. Steve Rourke, the CEO of CFE Media LLC announced the partnership with Beijing Control Engineering IT Co., Ltd., which will include content sharing, global customer sales coordination, and technology sharing between the two organizations.

Control Engineering China is relaunching in cooperation with Control Engineering. On Nov. 9, 2010, the official ceremony announcing the Control Engineering Chinese edition was held in Shanghai, China. Steve Rourke, the CEO of CFE Media LLC announced the partnership with Beijing Control Engineering IT Co., Ltd., which will include content sharing, global customer sales coordination, and technology sharing between the two organizations.
Representatives from more than 30 leading automation companies, including Siemens, ABB, Rockwell Automation, GE, Mitsubishi Electric, Phoenix Contact, Beckhoff, B&R, Omron, Advantech, Delta, Banner, Elco, CC-Link, IEI, ICPDas and Shanghai Hi-tech attended the event, and applauded the important return of Control Engineering Chinese edition.
Starting January 2011, Control Engineering China will be published monthly and will coordinate content related activity with its new partner, CFE Media, in the US. Beijing Control Engineering promises to provide Chinese engineers and managers with the latest industrial automation developments worldwide.
“This announcement,” Rourke explained, “supports the CFE Media strategy to coordinate the most valuable engineering content on a global basis.” Following this initial news, Rourke said he anticipates “coordination of sales opportunities for global customers and the sharing of technology supporting global content distribution.”

2012 Salary Survey
In a year when manufacturing continued to lead the economic rebound, it makes sense that plant manager bonuses rebounded. Plant Engineering’s annual Salary Survey shows both wages and bonuses rose in 2012 after a retreat the year before.
Average salary across all job titles for plant floor management rose 3.5% to $95,446, and bonus compensation jumped to $15,162, a 4.2% increase from the 2010 level and double the 2011 total, which showed a sharp drop in bonus.
