The 4HP single-slot CompactPCI board comes with all industry required interfaces such as a serial port, VGA graphics interface, 4 Ethernet ports, 2 front USB ports, PMC, HDD, CompactFlash, and USB flash disk support. With an integrated graphics accelerator on the Intel 945GM chipset, CP6001-V provides high-resolution graphics up to 2,048 x 1,536 pixel @75 Hz and 2D/3D multimedia quality video. The Intel 945GM chipset enables balanced memory usage between graphics and system for optimized performance (up to 128 MB of dynamic video memory allocation).
With the Intel ICH7-R I/O Controller Hub, CP6001-V provides advanced I/O technology including USB 2.0 and Serial ATA300. The PMC site, USB Flash, CompactFlash socket, and an optional onboard 2.5-in. hard disk can be used at the same time in a single 4HP slot. Utilizing modular extensions, it supports all industrial requirements for write-protected operating systems and data storage.
Two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces available on the front panel operate independently of the additional two PICMG2.16-compliant Ethernet channels, which are routed to the backplane. The processor board can be used in a system or peripheral slot. A set of front-panel LEDs is available for debugging and diagnostic purposes.
A complete and self-installing Board Support Package is provided for Microsoft Windows XP, Windows XP Embedded, and Linux. Onboard temperature and voltage sensors can be monitored; the LEDs, hardware watchdog, and timer can be triggered to support application-specific features.
Beginning with CompactPCI XL Pocket housing, Kontron offers a range of modular standard 1U up to 10U CompactPCI systems for use with the board. Power supplies for ac and dc environments complete the portfolio.

Before the calendar turned, 2016 already had the makings of a pivotal year for manufacturing, and for the world.
