The Electronic Commerce Code Management Association (ECCMA) serves as the ANSI-accredited administrator of the U.S. Technical Advisory Group (TAG) to ISO Technical Committee (TC) 184, Automation systems and integration, as well as to two of its SCs. The U.S. TAG is currently seeking industry, government, and other interested experts to participate in the following ISO groups, which work on a variety of standards related to automation, especially in those areas related to manufacturing systems and integration:

  • TC 184, Automation systems and integration
  • TC 184, SC 4, Industrial data
  • TC 184, SC 5, Interoperability, integration, and architectures for enterprise systems and automation applications

U.S. experts in automation systems and integration have the opportunity to get involved at industrial data working group meetings that will take place on Nov. 11-16, 2012, in Miami.

“Becoming a U.S. delegate to an international meeting is a tremendous opportunity for an individual’s career development and for the company they represent,” said S. Joe Bhatia, ANSI president and CEO. “Time and again we have seen that those who understand how to effectively influence and address standardization and compliance issues have the greatest success in the global marketplace.”
