AKF Group names new partner
Peter Reilly, PE, a consulting engineer, has been named partner at AKF Group.
AKF Group has announced that Peter Reilly, PE, has been named a partner of the group. Reilly has more than 25 years of consulting engineering experience in a variety of project types for healthcare, education, and science and technology clients. He holds a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from Tufts University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University. He joined AKF in 2007 with the opening of the Boston office. His responsibilities include project management, engineering, business development, and marketing. In addition to his active membership on AKF’s National Healthcare Committee, his professional memberships include American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) where he served as Education Chairman for the Boston Chapter for three years; National Fire Protection Association (NFPA); and Associate member of American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE).

Annual Salary Survey
In a year when manufacturing continued to lead the economic rebound, it makes sense that plant manager bonuses rebounded. Plant Engineering’s annual Salary Survey shows both wages and bonuses rose in 2012 after a retreat the year before.
Average salary across all job titles for plant floor management rose 3.5% to $95,446, and bonus compensation jumped to $15,162, a 4.2% increase from the 2010 level and double the 2011 total, which showed a sharp drop in bonus.
