The IPRB3 covers the refractive index range from 1.32000 to 1.52000 and the Brix scale from 0-90% and is suitable for a wide range of process fluids and applications in food and pharmaceutical processing. The IPRB3 instrument can be inserted directly into pipelines or tanks and provides continuous monitoring of Refractive Index, Brix, and temperature. It provides digital, analog and alarm relay outputs so that it can be connected up to a PLC or other process control schemes. The IPRB3 can be used to monitor solute concentrations as in the Brix scale for dissolved sugar and many other solutes. It is useful in binary mixtures where the RI can be calibrated to the concentration of a single component.

Before the calendar turned, 2016 already had the makings of a pivotal year for manufacturing, and for the world.
There were the big events for the year, including the United States as Partner Country at Hannover Messe in April and the 2016 International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago in September. There's also the matter of the U.S. presidential elections in November, which promise to shape policy in manufacturing for years to come.
But the year started with global economic turmoil, as a slowdown in Chinese manufacturing triggered a worldwide stock hiccup that sent values plummeting. The continued plunge in world oil prices has resulted in a slowdown in exploration and, by extension, the manufacture of exploration equipment.
