Adaptive antenna for RFID applications
Simatic RF680A variable-polarization antenna simplifies the commissioning and planning of RFID applications, and the automatic antenna adjustment facility increases read and write reliability.
Siemens' Simatic RF680A is offering an adaptive antenna for RF650R, RF680R and RF685R UHF readers. The variable-polarization antenna simplifies the commissioning and planning of RFID applications, and the automatic antenna adjustment facility increases read and write reliability. When ambient conditions differ, users can adjust the antenna's polarization as needed. Alternatively, the reader uses special algorithms to automatically select the right antenna configuration for each individual read operation. A large multi-color LED clearly indicates antenna activity, recorded tags and errors.
