Cortec Corporation's VpCI-386 HT Black is a high heat resistant water-based acrylic silicone primer/topcoat that provides protection in harsh, outdoor unsheltered applications. The VpCI-386 HT Black is applied to areas that are cracked and corroded and will protect the equipment from further corrosion. The protective coating significantly delays the reaction of metal ionization and water permeation. VpCI-386 HT Black provides a fast-drying thixotropic coating that is resistant to sagging or running. Thermally stable when dried from -150 F to 500 F, the coating is ultraviolet resistant and gives optimal outdoor performance without cracking or chipping upon prolonged exposure to sunlight. VpCI-386 HT Black is heat resistant, fast drying, and UV resistant. It can be applied via spray, roller, or brush. VpCI-386 HT Black protects carbon steel, cast iron, aluminum,stainless steel, galvanized steel, and copper.

Before the calendar turned, 2016 already had the makings of a pivotal year for manufacturing, and for the world.
There were the big events for the year, including the United States as Partner Country at Hannover Messe in April and the 2016 International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago in September. There's also the matter of the U.S. presidential elections in November, which promise to shape policy in manufacturing for years to come.
But the year started with global economic turmoil, as a slowdown in Chinese manufacturing triggered a worldwide stock hiccup that sent values plummeting. The continued plunge in world oil prices has resulted in a slowdown in exploration and, by extension, the manufacture of exploration equipment.
