Nathan’s contributions

“Nathan chose mechanical engineering in college and enhanced it with a master’s in business,” said James Taylor, president of the MIC Group LLC. “These two areas of focus coupled together, have positioned Nathan to play critical roles within the manufacturing community from overseeing engineering departments, leading stand-alone business units, and creating and leading a new Operation Excellence unit, to now serving as vice president of Technical Services. Nathan’s ability to learn, grasp, and master multiple manufacturing disciplines, plus his ability to impart vision, position him to be one of the leaders of tomorrow who will change the face of manufacturing as we know it today.”

Why a career in manufacturing?

“I consider myself a manufacturing entrepreneur. A radical opportunity gap exists between the current state of manufacturing and where we can be with service, technology, and workforce development. The faster we can change to meet the needs of entrepreneurs and our local companies, the more stable our economy will be and the quicker we will get to be a better place for our children and theirs. Being a leader in manufacturing lets me contribute directly towards building the community and world I want to live in. That and I like to make stuff.”
