Autodesk Plant Design Suite 2011 is a software suite from Autodesk for plant designers who need powerful plant design and whole-project review capabilities in a single integrated package. Beyond the value of an integrated solution, the Autodesk Plant Design Suite 2011 leverages new capabilities and features of the latest 2011 Autodesk product releases. Online information tool

RIDGIDConnect is a subscription-based online business tool designed for service professionals and contractors who create or use digital information. It provides the ability to share and store digital assets such as diagnostic job site photos and videos, job reports and histories, maintenance records, customer lists, and other business files. The "simplify" aspect of RIDGIDConnect eliminates the need to burn DVDs, lessens the back-and-forth explanation between clients and coworkers, provides around-the-clock access to record from any location, and utilizes RIDGIDConnect mobile to conduct business in the field via a smartphone.

Energy management application

The Wonderware Corporate Energy Management Application from Invensys Operations Management enables manufacturing and industrial automation customers to easily and quickly implement an energy management program and achieve sustainability goals. The application allows users to monitor energy, detect energy inefficiencies, and notify personnel of those inefficiencies. It connects directly to meters on a network, through industrial controllers, and accepts manual entry via the company's Wonderware InTouch HMI and IntelaTrac mobile solutions. Application functionality includes recording consumption and demand at main and submeters for a wide range of energy types.

Generac Power Systems' Power Design Pro software is a complete generator sizing and system design tool supporting both electrical and mechanical design. The software incorporates algorithms to accurately model the load's true characteristics. The modeling includes full harmonic and transient analysis to ensure complete generator-to-load compatibility. Power Design Pro is a one-stop solution center for the consulting engineer and other specification sheets; installation drawings; emission information; sound data and calculator; gas and exhaust pipe sizing; decrement and damage curves; and a specification text library with full inclusive design notes.

Participate in the 2013 Salary Survey

In a year when manufacturing continued to lead the economic rebound, it makes sense that plant manager bonuses rebounded. Plant Engineering’s annual Salary Survey shows both wages and bonuses rose in 2012 after a retreat the year before.

Average salary across all job titles for plant floor management rose 3.5% to $95,446, and bonus compensation jumped to $15,162, a 4.2% increase from the 2010 level and double the 2011 total, which showed a sharp drop in bonus.
