Valve wrap

The PIG Absorbent Valve Wrap is designed to soak up nuisance leaks in valves, flanges and other oddly-shaped pipe components. Cinch-able straps and a sewn-in double stack of oil-only mat make it easy to catch drips anywhere – indoors or outdoors, and it’s UV-resistant for up to 12 months. Two sheets of highly absorbent 100% polypropylene Oil-Only PIG Mat soak up and retain oils and oil-based liquids, including lubricants and fuels, without absorbing water, and the non-permeable clear poly back helps prevent pollution by keeping absorbed liquids from leaking though.

Carbon reinforcement composite system

Viper-Skin is a biaxially, hybrid carbon and glass fiber polyurethane prepreg system that blends the strength and stiffness of carbon with the ease of use of a moister-cured prepreg. This carbon reinforcement composite system uses a factory-controlled, wet-out process. The Viper-Skin eliminates field mixing and wetting of the composite system to ensure proper fiber-to-resin content ratios, and it combines simplicity with flexibility to permit application to irregular shapes and geometries. The Viper-Skin also incorporates proprietary load transfer and bonding technology to result in a high-tensile wrap capable of repairing pipes and pipelines beyond their original bursting strength.

Anaerobic threadlocker tape

Loctite QuickTape 249 Threadlocker Tape is dry to the touch, packaged in a 260-inch roll, and provides the same reliable performance of liquid threadlockers yet can be carried in a pocket or toolbox. It’s a general purpose threadlocker that is removable with hand tools, and cures fully within 24 hours. The tape is peeled from the spool and wrapped around the fastener’s threads, operating best between -65 and 300 degrees Fahrenheit. The size of the fastener determines the number of wraps required for secure locking and sealing.

Lubrication assessment

When hiring new oilers and mechanics or diagnosing training needs of an existing workforce, the Lubrication assessment helps to determine is a person has the necessary skills required for safe and successful equipment lubrication. It assesses knowledge and skills in such technical areas as lubrication theory, types of lubricants, lubrication properties and additives, automatic lubrication systems, and applications. The Lubrication assessment consists of 60 multiple-choice questions in a paper-and-pencil format or a new online format. This instrument can be given to an individual or group and there is no time limit. Electronic scoring online makes scoring easy and allows for fast results.

Contaminant filter

The Ultra-Filter Sock, from UltraTech International, Inc., is ideal for use in front of storm drains, around downspouts, in gullies and ditches or anywhere there is potential for harmful stormwater runoff. The woven polymer casing allows water to pass through quickly while filtration media inside removes pollutants. The Ultra-Filter Sock is available in 9-foot lengths with looped ends, allowing units to be staked in place. Multiple Ultra-Filter Socks can be used in a “treatment train” if the potential for more than one contaminant or a large quantity of a single contaminant is present.

Portable spill warehouse

The PIG Extra-Large Response Cart (KIT419) is a portable spill warehouse that holds enough socks, booms and pads to soak up 119 gallons of oil, but not a drop of water. The cart is ideal for remote locations where operational or construction equipment is being used, fueled and serviced or large maintenance facilities and is UV resistant for storage and use indoors or outdoors. The cart features a tamper-proof seal to protect against pilfering of spill-response supplies and four-way forklift pockets.

Vibration analyzer

The VIBXPERT II is a portable route-based vibration data collector from LUDECA, Inc. It’s rugged, lightweight, and combines the advantages of a rapid processor with an energy-efficient color VGA display. It’s enhanced with an Fmax of 51 KHz and up to 102,400 lines of resolution. The basic platform is a 1-channel device which can be upgraded to two individually configured channels via a special passcode. All forms of machine vibrations, bearing conditions, process data and visual inspection information can be collected and stored on the expandable 8-GB flash drive for report generation.

Air nozzels

EXAIR’s PEEK Super Air Nozzles deliver strong blowing force while providing non-marring protection should the air nozzle come in contact with other surfaces. The engineered thermoplastic construction offers a high resistance to chemicals, fatigue, and temperatures up to 320°F (160°C). Applications include part drying, machinery and parts cleaning, chip removal, part ejection, liquid blowoff, and cooling hot parts. The PEEK Super Air Nozzles provide high air amplification and strong blowing force. At 80 PSIG, the sound level is under 76 dBA which meets OSHA noise requirement 29 CFR 1910.95(a).
