The Brad SST PB3 Remote Module is a “linking device” with on-board PROFIBUS and Ethernet communication ports that provides a fast and easy solution for adding PROFIBUS Master and Slave connectivity. Its remote design allows the PB3 module to be installed closer to the field device, reducing more expensive PROFIBUS cabling costs that occur when the controller and field device are located some distance from one another. The PB3 remote module is designed to execute high-speed PROFIBUS-DP data exchange with a maximum of 2kbyte Input + 2kbyte Output PROFIBUS process data.
